Joyful Voices Ring Out for Prep’s Christmas Concert

It was a fabulously festive evening at Truro Methodist Church on Tuesday this week. The Truro School Prep’s annual Christmas Concert took place, putting everyone firmly into the Christmas spirit.

The evening was a wonderful blend of song and performances from the Prep School Pupils, including stunning renditions of ‘Once in Royal David’s City’ with a beautiful solo from Thomas, ‘The St Day Carol’, and rousing year group performances of ‘Mary Met an Angel’,  ‘Feliz Navidad’ and ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree’.

Lissie and Joseph showed huge courage during their piano solos of ‘The First Flakes are Falling’ and ‘Winter’ and the signed and sung performance by Lin of ‘Winter Nights’ was simply wonderful.

Archie dazzled us with his vocal solo of ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and the Brass Group made us all smile with their ‘Jingle Bells and ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer’ medley.

Truro Prep Choir sang their ‘Rocking Carol’ so beautifully, the crowd were mesmerised. There were some lovely readings from William, Evelyn and Kit, Alicia and Reggie, and Lois, Freddie and Gabriel

It was fabulous to be able to welcome parents and other guests along to enjoy the concert and to sing together in joyful harmony. It was quite a moving occasion for many of us.

We would like to thank Mrs Renshaw and all of the staff, pupils and supporters who made this concert such a success.
