Our School Chaplain, Rev Helen, led a ‘Chat with the Rev’ session with some of our Year 6 pupils at break time. These sessions are held weekly for our oldest pupils at Truro School Prep and challenge them with some of life’s ‘big questions’ around life, death and the universe.
Today, our pupils were asked what their idea of heaven was and what questions they had about heaven. Having talked about what heaven might be like ‘up there’, the children then considered what we might mean by ‘heaven on earth’.
With snacks on hand to fuel their thinking, questions and answers can be confidential or discussed in the session. It is also an opportunity for those with any worries to chat with Rev Helen and find support in their peers.
Thanks to Rev Helen for leading these peaceful and, at times, moving sessions, which form a part of the rich tapestry of pastoral care at Truro School and Truro School Prep.
