Glorious Sunset for a Fantastic Sixth Form Open Evening

There was glorious weather as Truro School opened its doors for the first time this Academic Year for the Sixth Form Open Evening.

The School looked wonderful as parents and pupils came to visit. We welcomed a record number of new prospective families, as well as many of our current 5th Years.

Visitors were welcomed with refreshments and a goodie bag containing the new Truro School Sixth Form Course Guide, and prefects were on hand to offer insightful tours.

Guests gathered in the Burrell Theatre for an informative introduction to the Sixth Form, with speeches from Head Andy Johnson, Sixth Form leads Ross Williamson and Lucy Jupp, and Head of Careers Nancy Kenward.

The stars of the talk were undoubtedly the Sixth Formers themselves, Head Girl Lara, Deputy Head Boy Seb and Lower Sixth Student Ollie. They gave a personal and insightful view of what makes Truro School Sixth Form such an inspiring, welcoming and rewarding choice.

It was also a chance to launch the new Truro School Sixth Form Diploma, a guided framework of exciting opportunities within supra-curricular, personal growth and leadership and service, built around our core A-Level offering.

Many thanks to everyone who made the evening such a success.

For anyone unable to attend, would like a recording of the talk, or has further questions about our offering at Truro School Sixth Form, please contact the admissions team at [email protected].
