Our lucky Year 1 pupils were treated to an afternoon craft session at Truro School Prep led by local artist Jo Wigglesworth.
Using all natural materials (most of which had been foraged), the children were helped to create beautiful castles fit for a (fairy) king or queen. The afternoon forms a part of the pupils’ cross-curricular learning on their topic of Castles.
Having learnt about the features of castles and who might live in a castle, the children will begin looking into the Tudors next half term as their learning progresses.
We would like to thank Jo for her inspiring creativity and well done to the pupils who made such wonderful castles.
