At the end of last term, Truro School once again hosted the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations, as it does at the conclusion of every term. Pupils achieved a number of excellent results, with several particularly noteworthy performances:
Oriana M – Grade 8 Piano (Distinction)
Thomas O – Grade 8 Trombone (Merit)
Sarang S – Grade 7 Alto Saxophone (Distinction)
Trystan V – Grade 7 B flat Cornet (Distinction)
Achieving higher-level ABRSM grades represents the culmination of many years of dedication, practice and commitment. These achievements are also recognised by UCAS, which awards university tariff points for passes and above in Grades 6–8.
Congratulations to all the pupils who took part, including those who achieved strong results in the lower grades.
