Eco Schools Activity Day

The pupils from Truro School Prep were given a fantastic opportunity by the Diocese of Truro to participate in the inaugural Eco Schools Activity Day, joining other schools in a shared celebration of sustainability.

Pupils from each school took to the stage to showcase their eco-friendly initiatives, creating an inspiring space for networking and idea-sharing. It was truly an empowering experience for all involved. The children engaged in meaningful discussions, with each pupil now tasked with returning to their school to share the insights and ideas they had gathered.

They were also joined by numerous like-minded organisations from across Cornwall, including South West Water, Surfers Against Sewage, Cornwall Council, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Suez, Falmouth University, Truro Parks, Geothermal Engineering, and the Flood Forum. Each organisation led engaging activities in a carousel format, offering hands-on learning opportunities for the students.

The day was filled with planet-friendly takeaways and a renewed sense of eco-resilience. What a remarkable and inspiring day for everyone!
