Celebrating Our 5th Years

Our 5th Year pupils gathered in The Chapel for their final celebration service ahead of their exams. As they embark on their GCSE examinations, the occasion was a mixture of nervousness, excitement and joy.

The service began with a welcome from Truro School Head, Andy Johnson. He thanked all of the parents, grandparents and our wonderful cohort of 5th Formers for all they have contributed to our School and the wider community. He spoke not of an ending but of the beginning of exciting individual journeys.

Led by our Chaplain, Rev Helen, and with rousing hymns and reflective music from our Truro School musicians, it was a moving and uplifting service. A particularly poignant moment was when Iris and Charlie spoke on their reflections from the 5th Year and how Truro School has shaped their future possibilities.

After the service, staff, families and pupils shared fond farewells and good luck wishes over a delicious afternoon tea in the Dining Hall.

We want to take this opportunity to wish all those who are undertaking exams in the coming months the very best of luck and thank our wonderful 5th Year once again.
