Congratulations to 5th Year pupil Tora and 3rd Year pupil Evelyn, who both won competitions at the Careers Convention held in March.
Tora won a £100 prize for coming out on top in the Raymond James S&P 500 competition, held during the Careers Convention. The S&P 500 is a major stock index that tracks the performance of 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States. Simon Burnett from Raymond James Investment Services noted that market conditions were particularly volatile, making Tora’s accurate prediction of the index’s Easter performance all the more impressive. As part of her win, she also nominated a charity to receive a £400 donation from Raymond James Investment Services.
Evelyn has won a £50 Amazon voucher from Specsavers, who hosted a fun competition at the Careers Convention for pupils to guess the number of contact lenses in the jar.
Mrs Kenward, Head of Careers, said, “We have continued to receive excellent feedback (from pupils, students and visiting delegates) about the Careers Convention held at the end of last term. Pupils and students valued the opportunity to meet so many businesses from a huge range of industries, and we are incredibly grateful to all the delegates who joined us.”
