Bronze DofE School Training Day

On Saturday, 3rd Year pupils attended school to participate in a series of training sessions in preparation for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) expeditions later this year. They learnt essential skills such as safely using camping stoves, navigation, setting up tents, packing appropriate kit and rucksacks, administering first aid, and following emergency procedures.

We believe dedicating specific time to this training is crucial as it helps develop pupils’ independence and teamwork skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for their practice and qualifying expeditions.
