Archie’s Golfing Success

‘I liked this competition because it was small and quite easy. We only had to play six holes, rather than eighteen holes. This meant that each round only lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes, instead of 4 hours and 30.’ Archie, Year 5

Congratulations to Archie, currently in Year 5 at Truro School Prep, who recently played in a golf tournament called ‘Golf Sixes’ for his club, Carlyon Bay.

This team event consisted of a number of competitions, held over several weeks, and they were delighted to win the best overall club trophy.

Archie has done particularly well because he has managed to dedicate time to his golf, even though he has considerable football commitments outside of school. He has even played football matches in the morning before the golf competition rounds started later in the day.
