Our Year 2 pupils and their families gathered in the Lovett Hall this week to celebrate a milestone in their Truro School Prep journeys: their ‘Graduation Assembly’ ahead of their transition to Year 3 and Truro School Prep in September.
Opening the event, Mr Morse reflected on how this special day didn’t merely mark the end of the era, it was significant of a new beginning as our courageous pupils enter into new challenges and even broader horizons.
During the afternoon, our pupils confidently led a series of Cornish-themed songs and dances, even encouraging families to get involved at one point in a joyful celebration of togetherness. With a Truro School Prep adaptation of ‘What Shall We Do With the Grumpy Teacher’ bringing smiles and laughter all round, it was then time for reflections on the future, as Mr Keveren shared aspirations from each child for possible careers.
As each child collected their Key Stage 1 Diploma, it was clear to everyone how proud they are of their achievements to date and how ready and excited they are for the next stage in their learning.
A huge thanks to our wonderful staff and pupils for making the afternoon so enjoyable, and thanks to all of the families who were able to attend.
