Boxes of Compassion for Charity Day

Our Senior School Charity Day got underway today in support of two local charities, Shelter Box and Cornwall Christmas Box.

Each form will be collecting items for Christmas boxes, which will be given out to families in need this Christmas. Forms will be told which items are needed and pupils will be able to bring in donations over the coming weeks.

Today, all staff and pupils were able to wear their own clothes in return for a donation to the charities.

In addition, assemblies this week have been focussed on the importance of compassion, particularly at this difficult time for many. Macarena, Tara, Kate, Reuben, Imogen and Millie have led the assemblies, with help and input from the wider Community Action Group.

We were also pleased to welcome Alex and Alice from Shelterbox, who joined our Friday assembly to talk about the importance of giving and to share updates on their latest project.

Thank you to all of the staff and pupils who work so hard to bring these important topics to light and who make our charity days possible.
