Tulip's Story

Tulip offers a first-hand perspective on life at Truro School from a Thai boarding student studying GCSEs.

Academically, the school provides a broad and flexible curriculum, combining compulsory subjects with a wide range of options such as Drama, Design and Technology, and Computer Science. Class sizes are small, allowing teachers to give close attention, and lessons focus on practical, real-world understanding rather than rote learning.

The school’s facilities are a major highlight, particularly for science and sport. Students have access to professional equipment, extensive sports pitches, indoor and outdoor facilities, a swimming pool, fencing, and a fully equipped fitness gym. GCSE students also take part in structured “Games” lessons, competing in different sports each term.
