Year 7 House Dodgeball Creates Fantastic Atmosphere

Today it was Year 7’s turn to take centre stage in House Dodgeball, with more than 70 pupils taking part in a lunchtime competition packed with enthusiasm, energy and House spirit. The remaining Year 7 pupils gathered to watch and support, helping to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere throughout the event.
A special thank you goes to our Year 11 House Captains and Heads of House, who played an important role in helping to organise and run the competition. Their leadership and encouragement contributed significantly to the success of the afternoon.
The excitement generated by the event was clear for all to see, with a terrific atmosphere witnessed by the Head, who watched the competition unfold from the balcony. The noise, support and positive engagement from pupils demonstrated the strength of the House system and the growing enthusiasm for House events across the school.
Events such as this reinforce our commitment to providing opportunities for every pupil to get involved, represent their House and enjoy being part of the wider school community. Today’s event was another excellent example of how House competitions can bring pupils together, create a real sense of belonging and make lunchtimes memorable.
A huge thank you also to the staff who came along to support, supervise and help run the event. Alongside the dodgeball competition, pupils have been taking part in a House Foodbank Challenge running throughout the week, collecting donations to support local families and individuals in need. The generosity shown by pupils across all Houses has been outstanding and demonstrates that the House system is about much more than competition. It is about teamwork, service and making a positive difference within our community. Well done to everyone involved.
