Rain Inspired Play

After a huge rainstorm, there was plenty of lunchtime excitement on the Prep site.

Following on from a dramatic downpour, complete with a spectacular roll of thunder that echoed across the school grounds, our pupils wasted no time in embracing the great outdoors.

The heavy rain transformed part of the playground into a winding stream, providing the perfect setting for some wonderfully imaginative lunchtime play. Before long, children were racing leaves downstream, engineering impressive dams, and exploring the ever-changing flow of the water together.

It was a joyful reminder that some of the best learning and happiest memories come from the simplest experiences. Through teamwork, problem-solving, creativity and a healthy dose of fun, our pupils made the very most of an unexpected opportunity provided by nature.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little rain to spark a big adventure!
