Roman life arrived at Truro School Pre-Prep today as our Year 2 pupils took part in an immersive day based on this topic.
Having spent the term researching facts on the Romans and considering what life might have been like under Roman rule, our pupils came dressed in their Roman finest to take part in a carousel of activities. They learned about Roman pastimes such as visits to the theatre and the Colosseum, played the traditional Roman game Rota and found out what gladiators were. They also designed and created Roman shields using historical designs for inspiration and studied and created their own Roman mosaics.
The day also included a Roman-themed Forest School session, where pupils discussed and designed aqueducts.
We would like to thank all of the staff who made this day possible, bringing learning to life in an unforgettable way.
