Bluebell Bloom Inspires at Prep

Outdoor learning is an important part of the Truro School Prep curriculum, and this term has provided plenty of opportunities to make the most of our beautiful surroundings.

A sea of bluebells has welcomed us back after half term, signalling the arrival of spring in style. As you approach the school, you may have noticed the stunning carpet of purple in our woodland area. We are incredibly fortunate to have such rich natural grounds, which not only enhance our learning environment but also provide a haven for wildlife in the heart of Truro.

Our Forest School wildlife cameras continue to be a regular source of excitement, particularly for our Pre-Prep children, who eagerly discuss the latest sightings. In recent weeks, the cameras have captured deer, squirrels, rabbits, birds and even badgers in action, and we are delighted to be able to share this footage with you below, with thanks to our Forest School lead, Mrs Stableforth.

This week, our Year 5 pupils took their art lesson outside, sketching flowers and plants while enjoying the spring sunshine.

All pupils at Truro School Prep benefit from a rich timetable that blends indoor and outdoor learning, ensuring they can regularly explore, discover and engage with the natural world around them.
