Pre-Prep Go on a Bear Hunt

As Truro School Prep Book Week continues, we have had a truly magical Day 2, filled with excitement, imagination, and adventure from beginning to end.

The day began with a lively Storytime led by Mr Morse, where the children eagerly joined in with the iconic story, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. As the tale unfolded, something magical happened as a real ‘bear’ appeared in the school. The children named him “Big Bear” and, full of excitement, followed him out into the enchanted garden and Forest School to begin their very own bear hunt.

As they explored, the children discovered bears hidden everywhere; busy reading books, perched in trees, and even nestled in the mud. Each new discovery brought squeals of delight, and they proudly showed Big Bear all the little bears they had found along the way.

After their adventure, it was time for a teddy bears’ picnic. The children brought their special teddy friends from home and gathered together to enjoy the occasion. The children were joined by another special visitor, Head of English, Ms Sian Cadwallader, who had organised the entire week, and the children were thrilled to share their bears with her.

To end the day on a magical note, Big Bear opened a special basket and gave each child a tiny bear to take home, leaving everyone with a wonderful memory of a truly special day.
