It has been a wonderful Book Week at Truro School Pre- Prep, with our youngest pupils lapping up every opportunity for fun and learning. During the week, we have enjoyed talks, puppets, art and most importantly, sharing our love of books and reading.
On Monday, we made our own bookmarks and used coloured crayons and paints to produce artwork inspired by the book ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. We explored our new underwater kingdom and read tales with a bear. We hunted all around the Prep site for hidden mice and joined the Town Crier to read more books. At the end of the day, we even had a special visit from the school cat, who wanted to show us his animal magic!
On Tuesday, we had the most wonderful day! It started with our Year 6 friends hosting an assembly for us, talking about their love of reading, and then we went on a bear hunt, which you can read about HERE.
On Wednesday, we all wore our amazing fancy dress costumes, and the school was filled with Harry Potters, unicorns, dragons, mice, dinosaurs and more! You can see more of our efforts HERE.
We all received books as part of our exciting book swap, and we got to open them, just like presents. We also welcomed our reading buddies into the Pre-Prep, who shared magical animal stories with us. We even had a very special visitor, with four hooves and one horn. Can you think who it might be? Find out HERE.
It was a splendid week of magic and learning, and one we will treasure for many years to come.
