The past few weeks have been full of excitement for the Truro School boarders, with a range of memorable weekend trips to Clip ‘n Climb Plymouth, Pirate Quest in Newquay, and Player Ready VR Rooms in Truro.
At Clip ‘n Climb, the boarders pushed themselves to new heights—quite literally—while offering fantastic encouragement to one another. Although it was a new venue for the group, it quickly earned a seal of approval and has been added to the list for future visits. The session included 55 minutes of action-packed climbing, featuring a thrilling 10-metre vertical drop slide and challenges such as the Skyscraper, Checker Plate, and the UK’s tallest Big Cheese.
A trip to Newquay provided a different kind of adventure, with the group taking part in indoor golf at Pirate Quest—an immersive attraction that combines a 12-hole crazy golf course with a walkthrough experience based on Cornish myths, legends, and pirate history. After their round of golf, the boarders enjoyed some well-earned relaxation time exploring the beach and local shops.
They also visited Player Ready VR Rooms in Truro, Cornwall’s largest dedicated virtual reality centre. With over 260 square metres of gaming space, the venue offers VR headsets, escape rooms, motion racing simulators, and free-roam arenas—plenty to keep everyone entertained.
All in all, these fantastic weekend trips provided plenty of fun and lasting memories for everyone involved.
The past month has also brought celebrations closer to home, with three birthdays in Malvern. Happy 17th birthday to Leana, a big happy 14th to Felicity, and a happy 18th birthday to Harriet.
Alongside the birthday festivities, the girls marked St Piran’s Day by celebrating Cornwall with a selection of Cornish-themed treats after school.
