Boarding Roundup 23.1.26

After a fun-filled Christmas break, our boarding community have been settling back into school life. Their first week was challenging, and not only because of the return to early morning wake ups, but for many tackling their mock exams and a whole school closure due to Storm Goretti. Our boarding staff were on hand for all pupils, focused on ensuring our boarders had a fun and productive time, definitely a 24-hour period to remember for all!

This week, luckily, returned us to some milder weather, and over the weekend, with the Eden ice rink set to close in February, our boarding community seized the opportunity for one more skate! Boarders headed off for an hour of fun, surrounded by Eden’s biomes, with one or two falls and a stolen ‘Piran’ penguin.  Afterwards, the ravenous group headed back to school for a Mexican-themed supper in the dining room.

Malvern’s ‘Boarder of the Month’  for January was crowned as Head of House, Harriet. Harriet has had quite an exciting few weeks; she has navigated two university interviews and a broken-down car, all whilst sitting her mock A-Level exams. Harriet was chosen this month due to her grit and resilience during these challenging obstacles. Meanwhile, over in Trennick, Grant & Andrii have taken a joint win for ‘Boarder of the Month’.
