Santas, Smiles, and Fun Galore at Prep

Truro School Prep was full of festive cheer as a beard of Santas took part in the much-loved Santas on the Run event, raising vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 donned their brightest Christmas jumpers, hats, antlers and festive costumes to take on a joyful course that began at the front of the Prep School. Along the way, children navigated a series of Christmas-themed challenges designed to spread festive smiles. From throwing snowballs into buckets and tackling an ‘ice and spoon’ race, to snapping an Elfie Selfie and playing in the snow, the course was packed with laughter and fun.

The highlight of the day was definitely Truro School Prep’s strong sense of community that shone through, as older pupils encouraged and guided the younger children, ensuring everyone could join in and share the experience.

The festive excitement continued at the end of the run with the arrival of a very special guest. Father Christmas appeared to share Christmas cheer and blessings with the children, bringing the event to a magical close.

With thanks to the Friends of Truro School (FTS), staff, helpers and, of course, all of our enthusiastic pupils. The morning was a joyful and memorable way to come together as a community and support the incredible work of CHSW this Christmas.
