Roman life arrived at Truro School Pre-Prep today as our lucky Year 2 pupils took part in an immersive day based on this topic.
Having spent the term researching facts on the Romans and considering what life might have been like under Roman rule, our pupils came dressed in their Roman finest to take part in a thrilling carousel of activities. The day included making helmets and shields, creating beautiful mosaics and studying Roman artefacts.
Also on the menu was the game Rota, a two-player ancient Roman game played on a circular board with nine spaces. Similar to noughts and crosses, the objective is to get three of your own pieces in a straight line across the board, which can be along the circumference or through the centre.
We would like to thank all of the staff who made this day possible, bringing learning to life in an unforgettable way.
