There were big cheers from Year 2 on their trip to Castle beach. They had a whale of a time in the sea air and did plenty of investigating in rock pools where they found crabs and a cushion starfish. They loved finding different shells and seaweed types and identifying them on a coastal marine life sheet. While they were out rock pooling a seal made an appearance which caught the children’s attention.
After a beach picnic it was time for some beach games, before the mysteries of the rock pools drew them back.
Before they left it was time for a obligatory ice cream.
