As the spring sunshine peaked through the clouds, our pupils have been hard at work and play at Truro School Pre-Prep.
Our Nursery children have enjoyed playing with giant animals, making shapes with play dough and drawing round animal stencils. We have also been having lots of fun outside making obstacle courses, cakes and playing schools.
This week, our Reception children have been learning about maps and map reading. We made a map of the school using boxes. In literacy, we have been practising the letter A.
In science this week, Year 1 has been celebrating British Science Week by creating new animals and explaining how they are adapted to their environments. In literacy, we have been learning about haiku poems and having a go at writing our own animal haikus.
In Forest School, Year 2 has been cooking pancakes on a fire and making a new bug hotel for our woodland area. In maths, we have been learning how to multiply and divide numbers, while we have been working hard on our stories in literacy.
All of our Pre-Prep pupils have enjoyed seeing their artwork combined in the beautiful display in the hall. Well done to all of our creative artists!
