New Head of Admissions

We are pleased to introduce Emma Trelawny, who has has joined Truro School as Head of Admissions from June 2021:

I am thrilled to take up the role. My father, uncles, and a great many of my friends attended Truro School, so I am very pleased to be joining the school community as we look forward to a bright and exciting future.

I grew up in Shropshire, and after graduating with a degree in Classical Civilisations from the University of Leeds, I spent time working for Savills and Strutt & Parker in Shrewsbury, London and Truro. More recently have been working as a Marketing and Communications Consultant for a number of specialist brands in Cornwall and London. I moved to Cornwall in early 2014 and can certainly say that it was one of the best decisions I have made; it is a joy to live and work here.

I have been made to feel very welcome at the School already and am looking forward to meeting prospective and existing parents and pupils in the coming months. I also look forward to working with our Head, Andy Johnson, Governors, and the entirety of the Truro School community as we look to continue the success of this year’s record admissions figures.

I hope to bring a fresh perspective to my role, while upholding the values and traditions of Truro School, and continuing the excellent work that our outgoing Director of Admissions has done for so many years. I would like thank Jayne Grigg personally for her superb advice and guidance as I embark on my career with Truro School.
