Golden Smiles for DofE

Backpacks were primed and maps neatly folded, as our teams gathered at Truro School ahead of their Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition. The trek, which will take our teams to Dartmoor for three nights and four days, is just one element of the four main sections of a DofE programme, which also involves volunteering, skills and physical achievement.

With a final briefing and checks including the weather, water purification and river crossings covered, students gathered outside of the new Outdoor Education Centre. The Centre has been relocated to pave the way for positive changes across the next few terms.

We wish our teams the best of luck as they embark on this challenge and look forward to sharing more about their adventures soon.
