3rd Year Experience Police Interviews

Our 3rd Year drama pupils have been exploring DNA, a play that tackles dark themes surrounding bullying and morality. As part of their studies, they took part in a unique experience – witnessing live character interviews conducted by local Police Officers, PCs Andy Filkins and Paul Stevenson.

Paul and Andy led very realistic interviews with some of our incredibly talented 3rd Year actors, delving into their characters’ stories and portraying very real-life police custody scenarios.

It was fantastic to see how well the pupils understood the play and were able to fully immerse themselves in the roles. The officers also explained the various things that would happen during interviews, the likely outcomes for those who had committed offenses and where pupils could find out more information about the youth justice system.

This immersive experience was a powerful way to blend drama with real-world learning, reinforcing both performance skills and social awareness.
