Kids’ Takeover at Kresen Kernow

Eight lucky Year 5 Pupils were given a chance to ‘takeover’ the Kresen Kernow (Cornwall Record Office) last week to celebrate National Kids’ Takeover Day.

They learnt how to digitise documents and how to clean and preserve books. They learnt the technique of cataloguing maps and plans and were given the opportunity to research old maps of Truro and their homes. Lastly, they led a behind the scenes tour of the Strongrooms for their parents and grandparents.
