Ms Nineham’s Year 7 history class produced work above and beyond expectations this week after the students were asked to create their very own model motte-and-bailey castles.
Over the last few weeks Year 7 have learnt all about motte-and-bailey castles gaining an understanding of why they existed, when they became prevalent in England and how they were made. These lessons concluded with the students creating their own model castles as the final task.
Ms Nineham said:
“These models have been of the most incredible standard. I was both surprised and excited when they began to appear with both their historical accuracy and size. The ingenious methods used to create detailed Baileys have been brilliant. I cant wait for next year’s project!”
