Will Trew from 3rd Year has been selected for the Independent Schools National Development Programme for the U15s England Squad.
He is the first pupil from Truro School to be selected for the programme, which gives young people the chance to experience competitive football at a range of ages. ISFA runs national competitions and representative teams aimed at giving boys and girls the opportunity to play at the highest possible level.
The programme will include some exciting events and venues during the 2014/15 season, including an end-of-season a tournament at Manchester United’s training ground in May 2015. William is set to attend the next Development Camp at Harrow School from 12th-14th July 2014.
Glynn Hooper, Head of Football at Truro School, said: “This is a tremendous achievement, taken into consideration Truro School’s location. To be recognised in the national programme at Under 15 level raises the profile of football not just within the school but also the county.”
