A watercolour artist from Nottinghamshire has said she is delighted by the enthusiasm and passion she saw in pupils at a school in Truro.
Emma Ball is an artist who specialises in watercolour land and seascape paintings. Having visited the Year 2 classes at Truro Pre-Prep last term, she couldn’t resist returning to lead the youngsters in a recent painting workshop.
She said: “Art has to be fun. So long as we are having fun and it’s not a chore then it’s truly a subject for everyone to lose themselves in.”
The children experimented with a range of different techniques, from finger painting to using brushes and pencils. Animals were the popular theme, with Emma’s trademark choice of seagull often appearing on many of the pupils’ finished pieces.
