This Wednesday afternoon the Under 13 A team hosted Polwhele House. After the first two twelve minute thirds and at three nil down the girls had to dig deep. They responded well to the challenge and clawed their way back into the game. Two goals from Rosie and Elinor and some further fantastic efforts on goal gave renewed hope.
It is fair to say that the girls threw everything at it. In the final two minutes a shot was saved on the line by a Polwhele House foot and a penalty shot was awarded. After some rock, paper, scissors between Milly and Elinor, Milly stepped forward for a one on one with the goalie. The score was not to change with the shot hitting the post. A frantic minute followed before the final whistle blew. A 2-3 score line reflected a very close and even game. After some quick conferring Amy and Laura were crowned joint players of the match by Polwhele.
On Saturday we play our last game of the term when we welcome West Buckland to Truro School.
