U16 netball through to national semi-finals

Congratulations to the U16 netball squad who are through to the semi-finals of the Sisters n Sport National Cup Competition.

It was an early start for the girls with a 7.30am leave. The trip up to Gloucester was good. Arriving at the venue the girls warmed up well to their music, but I don’t think they were quite expecting the start to the game that they had. Farmors dominated in the early part of the first quarter and Truro struggled to cope with the physicality of the game. The players had to dig deep and after the early shock settled into the game. Temperatures were rising throughout and both teams were working hard for the result they wanted. Truro began to play some flowing netball and also upset the fluency of Farmor’s game. Nevertheless, Farmor came back again in the final quarter, but Truro held onto their lead. It was a very tense match where Truro had to be both physically and mentally strong.

Rosie led by example and shot a massive 38 from 40 of the 43 goals scored, showing why she is an England player.

Well done to the whole team for a fantastic result a long way from home and many thanks to the parents that travelled and supported. We are to play Godolphin and Latymer next in the semi finals of this National competition.
