In beautiful, yet windy conditions, our U11 team played a fantastic game of rugby, against a combined St. Petroc’s and Shebbear team. The pace of the game was fast, and slick handling skills were displayed by the Truro Prep players. Having conceded two early tries, the Truro Prep side bounced back. There were strong ball carries from Sammy Ovenden-Hope, Josh Higgins and Jamie Beaman. Additionally, there was some tenacious tackling from Adam Hussain, Oliver Sexton, Luke James and Ben Purchas.
However, the best try of the match came from a great run by Tom Stevens. Theo Clark and Max Rowe then showed great decision making, as they had done all game, to help set up the try, scored by Cameron Albury. The game was played in good spirits, and was a pleasure to watch. Thank you to the parents who made it to the game; your support is gratefully received. The next U11 rugby fixtures are on Wednesday 19th October, at Truro Prep, against Plymouth College.
