On Tuesday 25 March the Truro School U13 rugby team completed the double as they added the Cornwall Schools Sevens trophy to their county title in the full version of the game.
The side comfortably defeated Pool in the first group match 49-5. Richard Lander proved a tough game in defeating them 19-12. Further wins against Callington and Penryn saw Truro progress as group winners. The Quarter Final saw Truro defeat Mounts Bay 36-5. Redruth stood between Truro and the final. A powerful display, along with excellent technique resulted in a 42-10 victory.
Richard Lander fought their way from the group stages to the final. As this had been the hardest game of the day Truro didn’t take any liberties in the final. Some flowing rugby produced an excellent 38-0 victory, which involved all 12 players in the final.
