Congratulations to the 26 pupils who competed in the recent cross country races, held at Richard Lander School on Friday 5 February 2016.
We are delighted to report that 16 pupils have now qualified for the next round – the Partnership cross country finals, at Pool Academy after half-term.
Our Year 4 girls’ team and Year 6 boys’ teams were particularly impressive, each winning the school team event (lowest combined total of first three finishers from each school). Well done to all of our other teams who came 2nd in the team placings. Special congratulations to the Year 6 boys, who had a clean sweep, with all of them qualifying for the next round.
All of the children coped extremely well with cold and damp conditions and a flat, fast course.
Future cross country events…
Cross country club is held on Fridays after-school. All children are welcome, regardless of ability, so please encourage your child to come along if they enjoy running.
We are now looking forwards to the Polwhele House cross country event on Saturday 12 March 2016 and Coose Trannack on Saturday 19 March 2016. Please contact reception for course information and entry details about Coose Trannack.
