Trennick – full boarding community outing to Truro Bowl

The boys made good use of the library during Friday evening. After prep some boys played basketball and football in the sports centre, and some used the fitness suite. A number of other boys played Fifa on the PS4 in the games room.

Saturday saw the school host the Cornwall Schools’ Cross Country Championships.  Several boys went to watch and support the school’s runners during the races.

Nnebe spent time working in the gallery until the early afternoon, and some boys took the opportunity to go shopping in town. The facilities in the sports centre were also used.

During the evening the boys had a relaxing time watching some films in the common room and playing PS4 in the games room, and some of them went to Tesco to get snacks for the evening.

On Sunday Joe went rowing at Stithians during the morning, and Liam played rugby for Redruth colts during the afternoon. Redruth convincingly beat the County U17 team by 5 tries to 2.

Josh used his Duke of Edinburgh experience and helped out with some of the Silver D of E training.

Also during the afternoon there was a full boarding community outing to Truro Bowl. The members of all three houses and house staff bowled. There was a great atmosphere with some very interesting techniques on show! The top student score of the afternoon goes to Nnebe who produced an impressive 154. Well done!

On return to school there was a great selection of evening meals available. There was traditional roast lamb, pork or chicken, a vegetarian option, salads and a great selection of puddings.

During the evening most of the boys used the library and played some pool.
