Trennick – Cooking Up A Storm

It was very busy on Saturday as Truro school hosted the Cornwall Cross Country Championships. Over 400 athletes competed throughout the day with the school entering several teams. Some boys decided to watch this great event and cheer on the athletes.

In the house the boys made the most of the facilities available and played pool, PS4 and a number of our board games and of course they made use of the library. There currently appears to be a large number of boys interested in getting fit and hence the gym was popular on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Brian woke early to go training whilst others used it during the day. The story was very similar on Sunday with numerous boys working out during the afternoon.

During Saturday evening Kilian, Heinrich, Leo, Anton and Nikitas went out for an evening meal at Ask while Dare, Tobe, OJ and Kay selected Zen as their restaurant of choice. The remaining boys continued the theme of food and made a Chinese banquet in the Trennick kitchen. The smell was fantastic!

Sunday was a relaxing day for the boys. After a hearty brunch the library was opened. It had been arranged that the boarders could use the swimming pool during the afternoon, a few boys walked into town to do some shopping and some created some amazing pizzas. A number of pizza ingredients had been purchased for the boys: pizza bases; tomato puree; cheeses; olives; sun dried tomatoes; pepperoni; chorizo; spicy sausage; and Parma ham. The results looked and tasted great!
