Trennick – Beach Sports at Perranporth

The Trennick boys have continued their endeavours towards exam success but the weekend also gave us some opportunities for some fresh air and relaxation. A couple of the boys joined Mrs Mulready and the boys from Pentreve in visiting the Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge on Saturday. Despite weather forecasts condemning the show to a wash out, a brilliant day was had by all and the torrential rain bypassed the showground entirely.

Saturday night would not be Saturday night without pizzas and a film, regardless of the hearty dinner in the dining room, every scrap of pizza was polished off by late roll call.

Sunday morning brunch at eleven allowed some to catch up on sleep and refuel. Many of the boys grabbed some take away snacks and boarded a bus to Perranporth, and a couple of girls from Malvern hitched a lift and joined in the beach sports too. It was great after all the study to run off some energy with housemates and even brave a paddle in the surf. A few games of touch rugby and volleyball in the sunshine on one of Cornwall’s most famous surfing beaches banished all thoughts of exams for a few hours .

Back in the house it was back to business with the library open and academic work to the fore.
