On Friday evening the boarders descended on the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre to partake in one of their favourite activities, basketball. It is great to see the boys getting together and finding time for a social sporting activity when there is so much else going on at school.
All England Rugby Sevens Tournament
On Saturday morning after brunch, a few boys boarded the minibus bound for London with Mr Austin for the All England Sevens tournament. The weather was beautiful and the boys had plenty of opportunity to get outside and make the most of it. Some boys were also off to Shebbear for football matches. With a Six Nations Rugby weekend in full flow, there was plenty of support for England against Scotland and even Wales against Ireland!!
As the evening arrived, a large group of boys requested a house cinema trip to watch Chappie but were keen to ensure they were back in the house for the traditional Trennick pizza fest.
Ready, Steady, Cook!
On Sunday morning and after a lie in and enormous brunch the boys committed much of their time to library study or cooking up culinary masterpieces in the house kitchen. We welcomed some boarders from Malvern and Poltisco to join in the cooking marathon, it was great to have such a large and vibrant community feeling in the house, all working together.
Boarding on Sunday Evening
A few boys who had missed the opportunity to see Chappie on Saturday took up the chance to see it on Sunday evening, whilst the majority of the house installed themselves in the Dodd Library to prepare for the school week ahead.
