Ten Tors on The Lizard

On Saturday 6 December we completed our third Ten Tors training walk, this time travelling down to the Lizard.

The 55mile team started off in Church Cove and chased down the two 35mile teams who started a head of them from Mullion Cove. All teams walked close to 30km which, even though it is a fair distance, is still somewhat short of what they will have to walk each day on the event. We were again blessed with great weather this weekend with temperatures close to what we would expect in September rather than almost Christmas. All the teams did fantastically to pick up the pace and finish well before dark, coming into Coverack as they were preparing for their Christmas lights to come on.

A huge thank you again to the staff and parents that helped us this weekend and over the autumn term. I wish all the participants and helpers a Merry Christmas and a restful holiday.
