Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were treated to an exciting morning of team-building activities on the first day of term.
This provided them with an ideal opportunity to hone their teamwork and organisational skills in the Cornish sunshine, whilst becoming reacquainted with all their friends after the long summer break. Instructors from Cornwall Council’s Porthpean Activity Centre set up a feast of team-building and problem-solving puzzles on the beautiful Prep School playing fields and every child played a full part in making the most of the opportunities provided.
Highlights of the morning included traversing a shark-infested sea using only wooden planks plus ingenuity, and removing Ping-Pong balls from a leaky container using fingers to plug the holes whilst avoiding getting soaked! The aims of the activities were definitely met, with all the pupils engaging in the exercises, learning to work together to achieve a common goal and having fun too.
