Year 5 Girls’ Hockey v Truro High School and Polwhele House School

Our three Under 10 hockey teams took to the pitch on Wednesday 3 October in bright sunshine.

With six teams taking part, this was a busy afternoon of hockey. Each of our teams played two matches, scoring a fantastic nine goals between them during the afternoon.

Team Ireland scored six goals. Zara, Farrah and Elizabeth all scored well-deserved goals. Meanwhile, Beth and Harriet worked well in defence.

Team Scotland scored just the one goal – but they were so pleased with it. Imogen was the goal scorer. Ella played brilliantly all afternoon. Annabel, Bou and Beatrice all made good progress with their hockey skills and game awareness.

Team Wales scored two goals. Both Lowena and Tilly-Rose were over the moon with their goals. Lowena told me that it was her best hockey ever. Emilia worked well with Tilly-Rose in defence. Lilia and Alice developed their passing skills and understanding of the game.

Thank you to a large number of parents who came to support the hockey teams at this fixture.
