Fencing Report – Weekend 24 September

Our fencers swept all before them, continuing their recent run of form with even more medals. Bertie Holdsworth dominated the Under 17 men’s sabre event taking a convincing place at the top of the podium, Luke Haynes finished in 10^th, Sam Boorne came 12^th and Jack Wong finished 27^th. Our much younger fencers gained valuable experience in this age group with Max Cromie taking 45^th place with Alex Galiotto in 52^nd and Roman Norris in 53^rd. In the Under 17 women’s sabre event Keely Rodda stormed away from the field taking the silver, followed by Molly Wood in bronze. In the senior event Jamie Craze was unstoppable sweeping the gold with ease, Alex Boote took 14^th place while Sam Boorne claimed 47^th. In the women’s senior event Maria clinched the gold from Caitlin Maxwell with Lilly Wood in 16^th, Jenna Bray in 23^rd and Molly Wood in 34^th.
