Cornwall Sports Partnership Tournament- Winners!

With a total of 10 teams entered into the tournament we knew it was going to be a challenge with some very talented hockey schools entered.

We played 4 games in the group stages drawing our first game 1-1 to Mounts Bay, we then upped the standard of our play and won our further two games against Poltair and Bodmin both 3-0. Going into our last game against Liskeard was going to be a tough game, if they beat us they would top the group but we managed to keep them to a 0-0 draw. With the results we had it meant we topped the group and would play Bude in the semi-final. We had all the possession in the game but didn’t manage to get the ball in the net. The game ended 0-0 and we went on to penalty shuffles to decide the result. With some calm and confident finishing from our players and some outstanding goalkeeping from our keeper, we went through to the final. With spirits high and the players motivated to do well, they had one more barrier to cross. We played Penair in the final where we played some fantastic but simple hockey, our goals were creative and we won the game comfortably 4-0.

Well Done Guys, it was a fantastic team performance!
