It seems remarkable that this half of term has gone so quickly, spring must be just around the corner!
This week in the house we seem to have celebrated a lot of birthdays. Both Sophie and Hester were 18 and Mr Copeland was 40, and although I don’t particularly feel that much older I certainly feel a lot fatter after consuming unnecessary amounts of chocolate cake! In school we have had the Shakespeare festival, GCSE science practical exams and concerts in Falmouth, just to mention a few of this week’s highlights at Truro Schools. Unfortunately, we have also had a lot of illness. Two nasty infections have spread rapidly around the pupils, one being a cold/flu type illness and the other being a sickness bug. In the house we have remained relatively well except for poor Sasha who succumbed to the really bad cold.
Our weekend activity has been Go – Karting at Hayle. Have a look at the pictures! A big thank you to Mrs Mulready for taking both junior and senior girls this weekend whilst the rest of us were hermetically sealed to our computers, as we graded our pupils in all of their academic subjects. A big thank you also to Mr Thomson who took Helena and all of the junior boys to Trennick for a cooking session! A lot of really good pizzas were both produced and eaten.
Next week is busy again with the Hall for Cornwall concert, and we certainly invite any parents who can attend to come along as it really is a spectacular evening of varied musical styles.
As this is my last email this half term could I take a moment to wish you all a lovely break and let you know what a pleasure your daughters have been to look after once again.
