With the temperature starting to drop here in Truro we can definitely tell that autumn is upon us! The girls have had a fun weekend with a top makeup artist coming in to do some demonstrations with both the Malvern and Pentreve boarders. Ella works between Cornwall and London and is regularly commissioned for TV and weddings. She is renowned for her dramatic yet natural transformations using makeup. The girls were able to try out a few looks that they haven’t been able to before including a ‘smokey eye’ which Caroline modelled very well. The girls enjoyed trying out all her different products and giving each other make overs.
It is an exciting week ahead with another birthday in the house and also a boarding ‘bake off’. If you haven’t been following Rav is now out of the competition and with all this baking inspiration the boarding community will be baking goods to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It will also give each house the opportunity to show off their talents while raising money for a very worthy cause. Unfortunately, I won’t be giving away any of our designs or secrets yet as here in Malvern we are keen to win – watch this space.
On another note, although it seems like we have just started back at Truro School I must send out a request for your daughter’s travel details for the half term. The boarding house closes at 5pm on Friday 21st of October. I have attached a travel form for those who will not be picked up by parents. Please email me their details whether they intend to drive home themselves, be picked up by parents or guardians or are flying half way around the world!
