It’s been a busy time of coming and going for the Malvern girls this week, mostly for exciting reasons: Christy travelled to Exeter after school on Monday for an interview on Tuesday; and Agne flew up to London to attend an interview at Surrey University on Wednesday. We know how impressive both of these girls are, so our fingers are tightly crossed for offers for both of them. Also in preparation for university entrance, Yuki, Carissa, Christy, Agne, Alice and Penelope took the IELTS exam on Saturday. They all agreed that it was a difficult set of papers, but I’m sure that they are being modest and they will receive the scores they need to satisfy the various UK universities that they are aiming to attend.
On Friday evening, most of the Hong Kong girls spent the evening up at Trennick House, eating pizza and ice cream (particularly ice cream!) and chatting with the boys. The socialising continued on Saturday evening when Claudia and Agne headed over to St Ives to attend a schoolmate’s 18th birthday party, and Alysia went to a different party. Over the weekend, the girls have also enjoyed making some jewellery, in particular: Anna made something for Claudia; and Yuki made a few different bracelets. I asked if I could take some photos of them wearing their creations, but they begged me not to, so I’m sorry that there are no pictures this week!
We’re looking forward to welcoming Sasha back to the house tonight, after she’s spent a few days at home recovering from illness, and hope that Kitty and Alana are feeling better too. There are now less than two weeks left until the end of term, so although they’re feeling tired, the girls are almost there!
On that note, please find attached a form to complete to let us know your daughter’s travel arrangements for the end of this term and the start of next term. Please return this to me or Claire by Friday 19 March.
