Senior Girls’ Boarding Blog – 22 January

As it is my first week here officially at Malvern house, the girls have done a great job in ensuring I have settled in well.

It has been a fun packed weekend… Saturday morning Jess left to go a county cross-country fixture, coming 18th overall and is now able to trial for the South West fixture if she wishes! Leah and Anson returned from their sleepover at their friend Aysha’s house having enjoyed themselves.

Saturday afternoon was filled with trips to Truro town, the cinema, relaxing and even the odd bit of school work here and there.  Saturday evening the girls had requested nachos and chocolate fondue with lots of fruit and marshmallows, everybody appeared to enjoy this.

Following the feast, some of the girls decided to challenge each other on ‘Just Dance’ (very amusing to watch). Sophie appeared to have played before and managed to win every round despite everyone’s best efforts….

Sunday morning included a sufficient lie in for all the girls, Helena leaving for choir rehearsals for the day and a delicious breakfast.

It was from here that the Malvern and Pentreve girls went to the ATV centre to partake in a quad biking session. When the girls returned, they each told me how much they had enjoyed themselves, despite being covered in mud… A great afternoon had by all.

Sunday evening consisted of a lovely roast beef for supper, followed by the girls preparing and organising themselves for the upcoming week. A lovely fun packed, busy weekend!

Best wishes to all,

Miss Ruse
